The opening hit is pure, rugged vetiver—no sweetness to soften it, just that earthy, rooty bite that lasts through a full workday. It’s assertive without being loud, and the dry-down is surprisingly clean. Wore it to a meeting and got two compliments without asking.
Smells like actual vetiver root, not some cleaned-up perfume version of it—that toughness comes through the second you spray it. The dry-down lasts longer than my usual picks, and it stays close to the skin, which I like for the office.
It’s raw and earthy in a way that feels almost untamed, but that toughness is exactly why I keep reaching for it. The root-forward character comes through with real presence, not shy or sweetened up. Wore it on a rainy day and it held its ground for hours.
