The crumpled basil and mint actually smell like they were just picked from the garden, not processed into a paste. I've been spooning it over crushed tomatoes for a quick pasta sauce and it tastes incredibly fresh, almost like summer in a jar.
Opened the jar and the basil and rosemary hit my nose instantly — it actually smells like a garden, not a sauce. The crushed tomato has a real rustic, chunky texture that works perfectly straight out of the jar on pasta.
The crushed tomato base really tastes garden-fresh, and that hit of mint in the mix is what keeps me reaching for it. I've already gone through a jar in a week, just spooning it onto bread and pasta.
